This article detailly analyses and tries to answer few questions regarding the growing concerns on Bollywood film industry. Questions like is it end of Bollywood era? Why there are new stories or new concepts in films? This article includes the answers to above questions and also looks into movies which are copied from other film industries.

Why Bollywood making remakes?

From past many years it is observed that, it is very hard to see movies in Bollywood with new stories. Filmy critics say that it is the end of Bollywood. So many movies are copied directly from the southern film industry such as Tollywood, Tamil industry, Malayalam and even from Hollywood. So many remakes are made in Bollywood than any film industry in the world.

Primarily, simple answer for this question is directly related to the collection and performance of movie in cinemas. There is no doubt that Bollywood doesn’t want to explore the different genres of movies. Due to lack of experimentation and new concepts in the industry, repetition of remakes and same concepts other industries such as Tollywood, Malayalam Industry and Tamil Film Industry are leading now-a-days.

Secondly, it is mandatory to mention that Bollywood has the largest audience in India compared to any other film industry. Apart from Hindi movies Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada movies are not released pan India due to lack of audience. Most of these movies are released in regional theaters and fails to make even collection of their budget.

At last, I would like to mention that Bollywood has the one of the finest production houses. Due to remakes, original film also gets some attention and can earn money by licensing the rights of original film.

If we look at the response for the remake Baby John is not up to the mark as expected by makers.

There are few reasons behind it. Firstly, I would like to mention that the wring timing of release. It was only 4 weeks from the release of movie Allu Arjun’s movie Pushpa 2: The Rule. It is the most hyped movie of 2024. It conquered the cinemas like any other movie industry of film industry. Is It Good To make Remakes?

Bollywood is making remakes of movies which are released before 2010 or 2012 and those not released in Hindi language. It also considering the fact that, the original film should be hit at Box Office at the time of release. At present all movies are releasing in nationwide theaters in several languages, including Hindi. In long-term perspective it is not good for Bollywood to make remakes. The film industry should come up with new ideas, stories, concepts and also give young talent an opportunity in films.

Is it end of Bollywood?

It is completely wrong to say that the end of Bollywood is near. In industry still there are numerous actors, writers, directors and film makers to take up the industry to new heights. The industry has strong potential to produce a new and future concept into the films.
