After debut in industry, Vivek given 2 Filmfare award winning movies between 2002 to 2003. Later, in year 2004 Vivek Oberoi met Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, for movie Kyun! Ho Gaya Na. Then they started dating for some-time. But Aishwarya Rai was Salman Khan’s Ex-Girlfriend. They were used to date during the early 2000s and considered one of the iconic couples of Bollywood.

Salman Khan and Aishwarya met during the shot of movie, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and started dating. And things went wrong after some time, in 2002 reports suggested that they broke up and denied making comments on this matter. Aishwarya said she wants to move on from controversies and Salman said, personal life matters should be kept private.
In 2004 Vivek and Aishwarya fell in love and started dating. After noticing this, Vivek Oberoi alleges in press meet that he was threatened by Salman Khan for dating his Ex-Girlfriend Aishwarya. After, press meet the tic-tac between the Oberoi and Salman catches fire. At that Salman was ruling the Bollywood and he was at his peak. On the other side Vivek was beginner and didn’t have many contacts and grip in industry.

Talking in interview, Oberoi said that he was not getting work in Bollywood industry due to spat with Salman Khan. Big production houses were running away from Vivek he said in interview. Due to getting neglected by industry Vivek any how managed to survive in industry with small movies and given his best to bounce back. Once he apologized to Salman Khan in live show after his dance performance in Award Show.
Hema Committe Report
Vivek Oberoi Controversy in 2024 made headlines due to his comments on Malayalam industry, regarding the report of Hema Committee. Hema Committee is established by Justice K. Hema, which investigated the discrimination of women in Malayalam industry. He took the stance that, he will stand against the people who exploits and creates discrimination in industry.
