Allu Arjun arrested on Friday in connection with a stampede incident that occurred at Sandhya Theatre during the premiere of Pushpa-2. The tragic incident, which took place on December 4, resulted in the death of 35-year-old Revathi, while her son remains hospitalized for treatment.
A police team, led by the assistant commissioner, arrived at Allu Arjun’s residence, where his family members were present, and took him into custody. He was then escorted to a police vehicle and transported to the police station for further proceedings.
On December 4, a stampede occurred at the theatre when a large crowd, eager to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun, surged forward upon his arrival with his security personnel. The situation spiralled out of control due to alleged inadequate crowd management, prompting the authorities to resort to lathicharge.
The police stated that the theatre management failed to implement additional security measures to manage the crowd, despite being informed about the actors’ arrival. Furthermore, no separate entry or exit points were designated for the actors’ team, exacerbating the situation.

A case was filed against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under sections 105 and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Chikkadpally police station, based on a complaint by the deceased woman’s family
Allu Arjun had filed a petition to quash the First Information Report (FIR) registered against him, seeking to have the case dismissed. Additionally, he had requested a stay on all further proceedings, including his potential arrest, pending the court’s decision on his petition.
